Outdoor Enthusiast of Fredericton (OEF) part of the "New Brunswick Goes On Tour"
to honor 150 Canada's birthday celebration
This relay-style event brought together participants from all four corners of the province using the trail networks. A wooden map of New Brunswick was divided into four pieces and each piece was brought to a different starting point at the outer edge of the province. From August 10, 2017 each piece moved from its starting point, along New Brunswick’s trail networks, and joined together at a public event at Government House in Fredericton on August 26th. The pieces were carried by horseback, kayak, canoe, bike, wheel chair, and foot over more than 1300 kilometers of trail. OEF covered over150km of this historic journey, caring the piece of the map puzzle through Mt. Carleton woods and its rocky trails, and twisty roads to Peth-Andover.
